Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you have made the effort to get here, why not make an ickle donation to a fab cause?!
On 23 May I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon. This is my first attempt at going the full 26.2 miles, which is a huge personal challenge and offers every excuse to raise some money for charity.
I have chosen to run for the RNLI. The RNLI responds to thousands of incidents at sea and on beaches each year and saves hundreds of lives. Funded purely by voluntary donations, the RNLI could not operate without the public's support.
Running for the RNLI is a personal choice - my family & I spend a lot of time on the Cornish coast, exploring it's beaches and coastline by boat. We often see the RNLI responding to emergencies and are always humbled by the dedication it's volunteer crew show. Last year a close friend had the need to request emergency assistance from the RNLI and without their rescue, four lives would have been lost. The RNLI are the 4th emergency service (regardless of what the AA tell us!)
Your donation will help the RNLI to continue it's good work and will keep me going, not only on the big day, but during the hard months of training that lie ahead. Go on, get out your credit/debit card now!!
