For the past few months, I’ve been thinking about how I could fundraise for the Kind Christmas Appeal – I could do a sky dive, a bungee jump, an abseil, a marathon. Then I remember that you couldn’t even pay me to do those sorts of things; it ain’t happening! 

I’ve tried to work out ways in which we could conduct a socially distanced raffle, but then felt guilty about approaching the wonderful independent businesses who in a normal year so readily donate prizes and no doubt would this year too, despite the fact they have also been severely impacted by Covid.

So, you might ask, what is the plan? What is your contribution this year? Some might call it the lazy option, but I am going for a straightforward fundraising appeal. We don’t need gimmicks to contribute to the brilliant work of KIND.

KIND are a small Liverpool based charity who support families and children in the region through education, activities and experiences to help them reach their potential and be the best they can. Each year, they run the Christmas Appeal where they provide local families with food
and toy hampers so they can also enjoy the festivities without worry.

Every pound raised will go towards this appeal and each £75 is another hamper on its way to a family in need.

We usually raise around £1,300 each Christmas with the infamous KIND Raffle, and I am asking you all to dig deep to hit this target this year! Although there are no raffle prizes up for grabs (who remembers such
beauties the One Direction Headphones?!) I am really hoping you can all donate: even £1 would make a difference.
