KeyChange is a group of 8 young people in the Reading area - Sav, Jacob, Hollie, Paddy, Megan, Mat, Kandake and Anthony - trying to make a positive difference in the local community.

As part of our National Citizen Service (NCS) scheme, we have all been affected by the plight of the people on the streets that we have encountered. More than anything, we have come to realise that these people often end up where they are due to no fault of their own, contrary to the commonly-held public perception of their situation.

KeyChange's aims are threefold:

1. Raise awareness of the homeless in Reading, and shatter the negative stereotypes which surround them, through the distribution of KeyChange merchandise.
2. Implement practical social action: all proceeds from our efforts will be donated to and used by Launchpad - Reading's homeless support charity - to further their operation. You can read more about all they do at www.launchpadreading.org.uk
