On March 3 2018 we were a very normal family - albeit a very lucky one. 
JB was young. He was fit. We had so many dreams to fulfill. He had so many more dance moves in him. We assumed we’d grow old together. We assumed we’d watch our gorgeous girls grow up together. We were probably very similar to yourself right now. 

Yet, on March 4 all that changed when JB was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

This rare blood cancer accounts for just 2% of all cancers. It rips through your bones creating untold pain. The average age of diagnosis is 65 - JB was just 48. There is no cure for this cancer - but it can be treated with a limited number of drugs. Some people can live with it for 10, 15 or 20 years. However, the average survival beyond diagnosis is 4 years. JB survived just two and a half years.

In that time he underwent grueling treatments of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endless toxic drugs and a stem cell transplant when he sat in isolation for five weeks throwing up. 
Following his transplant we enjoyed 18 months of blissful remission until, in December 2019, the cancer cells became immune to the treatment. 
What followed was months of desperately trying to find a new drug that would work. 
Covid denied us the opportunity to join a trial and, amidst the pandemic we had palliative care nurses standing outside not allowed to come into the house during lockdown. 
In the summer months we made an unexpected U-turn when we saw a positive response and once again hope was reignited. This photo was taken during these happy, hopeful days in August -  just three months ago. 
Yet in September multiple myeloma struck back - but this time there were no more treatments left to try.
Soon the myeloma was out of control. 
His body was riddled with ‘traumas’ and eventually it went to his brain. JB passed away on Friday 27 November 2020. 
Multiple Myeloma is a cruel, vicious disease. Jeremy experienced it in its most aggressive form. 
This disease ripped our world apart. It stole Charlotte and Emily of their daddy. I spent 30 years with this amazing, fun loving, positive man - and I would do anything now to have just one more day with him. 
Please let’s help find a cure for this disease. It could happen to any normal family. It could possibly inflict your family. It’s not choosy.
