hi everyone, first of all, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page and read about my challenge and what has inspired me to do it. on the 1st of july i will travel to scotland to climb ben nevis, followed by scafell pike in england and last but definitely not least, snowdonia in wales. anyone that knows me well, will know that i love nothing more than getting out to walk on the mountains with my dogs. so while this challenge will be enjoyable for me, i hope you will all see it as one that is worth sponsoring as it requires stamina and a strong mindset. i have taken part in cancer focus' glens of antrim 18 mile hike challenge for the last three years now and am inspired by their work as they are such a great charity because  a substantial amount of money raised goes to families within Northern Ireland, whose lives have been affected by cancer. In 2010, I lost a very dear friend to cancer, Julia (a dedicated veterinary nurse) was only 35 when she passed away and was her parents only child. therefore raising money for this charity is very close to my heart. unfortunately today, most people have known or lost someone dear to them through this awful disease and it is also for this reason that i am doing this challenge, so that we may find a cure and in the interim, support families that are affected.
