Story
First may I introduce myself, my name is Julie reay.i set up the Peter David Lane Trust Fund in October 2003 after tragically losing my son Peter to a rope swing accident something we will never get over but by setting up his fund and helping other charities has somehow kept us going and giving us a purpose to survive our tragic loss, the main purpose being keeping Peters name and memory alive forever.
We opened the trust with £50 but were staggered by the amazing support and it wasn’t long before we reached our first £5.000 and completed our first mission of redecorating the picu at Newcastle general hospital, giant murals were painted on the walls and I felt really proud when the plaques went up which said these murals were donated by Peter David Lane Trust Fund.
Over the years our fundraising continued gaining support in different communities and to date has raised over £150.000 for different local causes, obviously too numerous to mention but to name a few,
NCL GENERAL HOSPITAL,VARIETY CLUB SUNSHINE COACHES,ST BENEDICTS HOSPICE,WEARSIDE WOMAN IN NEED,GREAT NORTH AIR AMBULANCE,PDSA,BROTHERS IN ARMS MEMORIAL WALL,SUNDERLAND R.N.L.I.4 LOUIS,CANCER RESEARCH AND MANY MORE….
So please dig deep and donate now.
