I am going to work as a volunteer for VSO in Malawi, East Africa (check out the map!). I will be working with other VSO volunteers and the Health Authority helping to create a database and software system so that the Health Service can manage and deploy their medical staff in the best way.  I am leaving in February and will be there for  2 years.

Because of recent cuts from DFID, as part of my volunteering, I have been asked to raise £1,500 for VSO. The money I raise will not go towards the cost of my placement but will support VSO’s programmes in the 30 countries where they work. Your donation will ensure that volunteers like me continue to invest in local people, so the impact we make endures long after my placement ends Any contribution would be very welcome.
