We are all very excited to be running the half marathon for Teddy’s Wish and we have decided to do a group just giving page so this is for Jo King, Clint And Jo searle.

Jo  Searle's story - Nearly 8 and a half years ago I got a phone call whilst at work from my best friend's sister Debs telling me that Eddie (my best friend's 3 month old son) had died from SIDS, sudden infant death syndrome.  I thought I had heard wrong, I didnt understand what was going on, I was in deep shock.  I then had to contact a few of our other close friends and let them know what had happened to our dear Eddie.  I left work straight away and went over to see Jen and Chris.  I didnt know what to say, I didnt know what to do, I just knew the only thing that I could do was be there for them.  My poor, dear Jen was broken and there was nothing I could do about it but hug her and support her in any way possible.  

Jen has been a wonderful friend to me over the years and I am so pleased that I am able to give back to her and to do something in support of this fantastic charity.  They were unable to save Eddie but hopefully with funds into research they will be able to save future babies.  Teddy's Wish supports other bereaved parents and without donations they are unable to do this.

This half marathon is a big deal for me as my running journey only started in January and I have been struggling with my weight my whole life but whether I have to crawl the race I will finish it for Eddie!!! 

I am lucky enough to have a wonderful fit husband who will do any kind of exercise, running with me (well way ahead of me!) and also Jo King who is our friend and combat teacher extraordinaire and was looking for a new challenge when we roped her in.  None of us are runners but we are so pleased to be doing this for Teddy's Wish.  Please support us xx
