Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
In September of 2008 after a routine blood test Paul Bennett was diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukaemia . From then until his death five months later on February 2nd 2009 he fought bravely to stay with his wife and family and endured intensive and gruelling treatment beyond description .Every day whilst we go about our lives thousands of families are having their world turned upside down by this brutal disease . A year ago he was a 59 year old man in perfect health and was quite simply genuinely the most selfless individual I have ever met . I feel very lucky to have had him for a father . He was the soul of kindness and spent his life helping other people as the hundreds of people who attended his funeral will testify , almost all had a tale of a good deed to tell .This fund has been set up in his memory so that in death he can try help others fight this terrible disease .Please , please give as much or as little as you can afford it ALL makes a difference .Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
