Story

Well we made it. 940 miles in 13 days. It ended up being 62 and a half hours in the saddle. It was tough but good fun. Thank you all for donating, we have managed to raise over £4000 for the three charities :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are four Firefighters from Barnstaple in North Devon. About a year ago we all got new bikes and decided to set ourselves a challenge. It didn't take long for us to settle on John O'Groats to Lands End, although the closer it gets the more daunting it seems. We will be cycling over 1000 miles in 13 days, staying at fire stations along the way. There have been some setbacks and disruptions to our training, from Swine flu to shoulder operations to ankles being run over. Although these problems haven't helped, i am sure we will all pull together and make sure all of us make it to the end.

It was a fairly small leap for us to decide to try and raise a bit of money along the way. We have chosen three charities to help, The Firefighters Charity (obvious reasons) The Motor Nurerones Disease and Tourettes action (as these problems have directly affected two of our team) As we can only link one charity to each page, we have made three pages, one for each charity (links to the other two are below) Please help us help others by giving to one of the three charities or a little less to each of the three.
