Story
Yes, I've gone mental and decided that I will run the London Marathon. Lord knows why I thought I could do it, but now I'm entered I won't let it beat me!!!
The aim is to raise £2000 for the NSPCC, which i'm sure you'll agree is a great cause. NSPCC's goal is to end cruelty to children, and as well as running Childline and raising awareness through their advertising campaigns, they work directly with children and families and run a specialised child protection resource for those who work with children.
With less than 4 weeks to go, panic has well and truly set in!! I'm back to running after my enforced 4 week 'rest' period on physio's orders (not built to run he says, what would he know??!) and managed to complete 20 miles recently in 3 hours 5 minutes. I have one 22 mile run to go and then we're into winding down in time for the big day.
Any donation you can afford to make is greatly appreciated and will help me keep that warm fuzzy feeling while i'm out running for hours on end!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again!
