We provide comfort to bereaved parents to make a devastating time a little gentler

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, set up in honour of our beautiful son born on 10/2/21. We want to raise some money for the lovely charity ‘Friends of serenity’.

This charity provides comfort to parents in their darkest moments, the memory box we were given in hospital was a much needed kindness. The blankets provided for our darling boy to keep him warm were so lovely and we were able to take footprints with the pack the charity provided. Whilst we hope no one ever has to experience loss of this kind, sadly we know that it happens and when it does, any comfort or kindness is very important.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

RCN 1157866
Friends of Serenity aims to preserve and protect the health of sick pregnant women and those who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death in particular but not exclusively by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, Serenity Suites and equipment at East Lancashire Women and New Born Centre not normally provided by the statutory authorities. We work hard to support newly bereaved parents through the provision of memory boxes and miscarriage keepsakes. By dressing their babies we hope to make distressing and devastating time a little more comforting by taking the pressure off them. These are provided in East Lancashire and throughout the country on public requirement. Additionally, we strive to provide qualified information by any means appropriate on the 2nd most common chromosome disorder Trisomy 13.
