Story
In January 2012 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. In February 2012 I underwent surgery to remove it and am back to good health thanks to the support of family, friends and an incredible medical team.
In celebration of my recent 14 month 'all clear' I am organising an event to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research, and £2740 is what it costs the University of Portsmouth's centre of excellence each day to focus on a three year programme of brain tumour research.
The event will be an evening of music at The Quays pub in Antibes, France on 16th May with a raffle made up of prizes donated by generous friends and benefactors. And at some point during the event I will take centre stage to have my head shaved!
So, for all of you for whom Antibes, France is not a bus ride away, please sponsor me, so that research can continue to find a cure, and also so that my donated hair can be made into a wig for a child who has lost their own after chemotherapy treatment.
Locals, please give, but also please come to The Quays on Thursday 16th May to support a fantastic cause very close to my heart!
Brain Tumour Research charities are not just about raising funds, but about raising awareness, and I will wear my scar loud and proud if it helps even one person understand.
So please dig deep and donate now.
