Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page.
This past year has been incredibly tough for everyone but none more so than those working for the NHS.
Having friends at QE Gateshead, I have witnessed just how hard they have worked to keep the community safe and it's for that reason JML Fitness would like to help play its part in keeping spirits high, ensuring that you are strong and healthy and just help you to have a little bit of fun at this challenging time.
The 28 Day Challenge will hopefully act as a welcome distraction whilst also raising money for the trust’s COVID fund.
When raising money for QE Charitable Funds, you have the option of choosing where the money is allocated. So as well as being able to donate to the COVID fund, I would also like to raise money for the trust’s Urology Department.
*when making your donation, if you could please also state the fund code listed below, so that the money can be allocated to that fund
1.Covid (1001)
2. Urology (2050)
I have chosen the Urology fund as it is a department I have found myself visiting on numerous occasions throughout my life.
As a child, I was born with a condition known as ‘Hypospadias’. For those who may not have heard of it, Hypospadias is a condition in which the opening of the urethra is on the underside of the penis instead of the tip.
Despite several operations to correct this, the last one being 18 months ago, I now find myself with two separate openings and although more of a cosmetic issue than a serious one, it has still had a major impact on my life.
I would like to think that the money raised can go to helping others who suffer with the condition when visiting the department.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I am extremely grateful for whatever you are able to donate.
James
