Whirlow Hall Farm Trust provides essential services to school age children as young as five who have or are experiencing adverse childhood experiences. The children struggle with social, emotional and mental health issues and many are diagnosed with additional learning needs such as Autism and ADHD. The children also have a history of fixed term exclusions and are at risk of permanent exclusion. The aim of the work is to help reduce anxieties by focusing on working with the farm animals, developing self-confidence, raising self-esteem and providing the children and schools with strategies to help them be successful at school. 

Whirlow also delivers a programme for post sixteen’s with additional learning needs that provides a wide range of farm based activities aimed at developing independent living skills and reducing social isolation.

All this and they also provide day and residential experiences to classes of school children so they can experience the therapeutic qualities of being out in the countryside, growing in confidence and expanding their horizons.

All money raised will go to help some of Sheffield's most vulnerable children succeed where all they have known is failure.
