Story
I will be completing the Great Manchester Run carrying a refrigerator on my back!
The Charity is Action Against Hunger. Which is an international NGO that is committed to ending global hunger through long term solutions (working with local farmers and national governments) and responding to short term crises (natural disasters and famine).
The global community has the knowledge and resources to ensure that no child dies from preventable and treatable malnutrition. By raising money for this organisation and promoting its cause, we will do a little bit extra to help feed the hungry and ensue the issue stays at the top of the international agenda.
Ending global hunger is a thoroughly achievable goal.
I've got involved with this charity through the Manchester Student's Union RAG Charity Challenge. We are raising money for Action Against Hunger's Machu Picchu Trek, where we will be raising over £20,000 as a group and promoting awareness of Action Against Hunger's work in Peru ( and 46 other countries!).
On the 22nd May I will be completing this 10km run with a fridge on my back. A refrigerator, because our chosen charity focus on preventing hunger. All of your donations are massively appreciated. The ethos of this challenge is all about making a difference and having an adventure.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.
