Story
In memory of dad
The 82 Miles Of Hell... I am about to attempt something way beyond what I have ever done before: an 82 mile race! Yes, 82 miles of running spread over three days - greater than one marathon a day. To make it even harder it is over the Wiltshire Ridgeway, an undulating and boggy long distance trail.
Why oh Why? My dad sadly passed away on Friday 23rd October after a short battle with lung cancer despite never having smoked a cigarette in his life. As a medical student I have realised just how little we actually know about the disease still. By donating money to Cancer Research hopefully we can get closer to discovering how to prevent and cure this disease.
What Can I Do? Donate, donate, donate! For those of you athletically minded I have an extra ask.... 82 miles is an awfully long time to be alone so join me on one of the stages (all around Wiltshire area). If you feel up for a challenge please, please enter at the website below and I will be running very slowly so I can complete the whole challenge! And for those of you who live near Wiltshire (yes that's all you Army lot) please come and position yourself somewhere along the route to cheer me on and hand out jelly babies.
Friday 6th November - 28 miles
Saturday 7th November - 27 miles
Sunday 8th November - 27 miles
