Story
Hi,
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I've set myself what I believe is going to be one of the hardest challenges of my life! On the 31st January 2010 I will be joining a group of 14 work colleagues and heading to Africa. Our challenge is to trek up Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. The 6 day trek will take us on the less-trodden Machame route where we will pass through thick forest, moorland and scree to ascend to the highest point of the crater,UhuruPeak.
The trek is not only going to push us all physically but also mentally so our focus throughout the trek will be on the charity that we are raising money for which is Willowbrook Hospice who care for people over eighteen years of age with life-limiting illnesses. They make no charge for their services, but rely on a modest contribution from the NHS, generous donations from the public and fundraising efforts such as ours. If you would like to see more information on the charity please have a look at their website www.willowbrook.org.uk
Any donations you make will be hugely appreciated, especially during these credit crunching times!!
Thankyou!
