Story
I am again taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2010 on Sunday 25 April 2010 to raise money for UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust.
Cancer has touched almost all of us at one time or another, so any donations the UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust charity receives helps them try to beat this disease.
I recently visited the institute and the facilities there are fantastic and the research they conduct in association with Cancer Research UK is invaluable. A lot of the information and research was very technical however it was hard not to be impressed with the knowledge and passion of the professors and staff. The mini-pasties were lovely too!
More information on the charity and to see what benefit your donations will make, please visit the trust's website at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/cancertrust
This is my hat-trick year but believe me, it doesn't get any easier to train and prepare for 26 miles and 385 yards on a Sunday morning around London.
I am training harder than ever this year because I keep getting beat by people dressed in 8 foot rhino and camel fancy dress costumes and that embarrassment has to stop!!
Please help support my chosen charity by clicking on the 'DONATE NOW' button above.
Thanks in advance for your support!
