The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by MSA; a life-limiting neurodegenerative brain disease. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Hello there and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Yes, I can't believe I'm really in the London Marathon 2009!! It's starting to sound a bit scary now that reality is sinking in! I am thrilled that the money I raise will benefit the Sarah Matheson Trust - the charity for Multiple System Atrophy.

The nurses at The Sarah Matheson Trust gave much needed support to my Dad during his illness and helped the whole family to come to terms with the diagnosis.

After my Dad died in 2001, my interest into the research/management of Multiple System Atrophy continued to grow. I now treat patients with Multiple System  Atrophy in my role as a community physiotherapist. Working with other families and patients affected by this progressive condition, I have had the opportunity to see how the Sarah Matheson Trust has helped them too!

So please sponsor me and help the Sarah Matheson Trust to continue to provide the unique service they offer to so many patients in the UK.

Many Thanks - your support will keep me going to the finish line!!!!!!!!!!!
