Story
My lovely friends! Many of you will notice that I often voluntarily walk dogs at Cardiff Dogs Home... Unfortunately late last year I stopped walking the dogs as often as I would've liked due to my touring schedule and then Covid-19.
Since the start of lockdown, like many others I've become a running and cycling enthusiast (it only took a global pandemic to finally force me to exercise out of boredom). I'm absolutely loving running and cycling and tracking my mileage on Strava, however, many of my regular routes pass the Dogs Home and I can't help but feel for the puppers who aren't able to get out and about as much as they'd love to due to current restrictions on dog walking volunteers as a Covid precaution.
I'm big into setting goals for myself so I want to go into August with a hefty goal of logging 1000 miles on Strava (32.2 miles a day) and in turn I'm aiming to raise £1000 for Cardiff Dogs Home (a £1 for each mile).
I'll be regularly updating all my socials with how I'm getting on... My legs are already aching just thinking about this, but I WILL do it. If I miss a day or choose to take a rest day, I'll just do double the next day.
P.S. I napped earlier, woke up and thought this would be a good idea, now here I am writing out 'my story', no going back now eh?
