Story

On Thursday 3 March 2022, we lost a remarkable husband, son, colleague and friend Stuart Lee.

Stuart had a special gift of lighting up a room and inspiring each person he met to be a more kind, compassionate and thoughtful person. Those lucky enough to have met him are blessed with fond memories they will cherish forever.

In his presence you felt tremendous joy, positivity and were always left thinking “what a wonderful human being, I should be more like that”. His work ethic and how he approached life by never letting his physical limitations stop him from how he wanted to live or what he wanted to achieve is an inspiration and he did it all with a huge smile on his face. Everyday he embodied what it means to be living which is something many of us often get too caught up to experience.

In memory of Stuart’s life this page is setup to help support a cause dear to his heart, West Ham United Foundation. The foundation promotes health and well-being through community participation in sport, tackling exclusion, poverty and advancing the education of children and young people.

Helen Keller famously quoted “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us”. We will miss him immensely but our memories with him remain with us forever and he will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Stuart will never be forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
