We provide food, shelter and hope to people who are homeless & vulnerable.

Story

Hey everybody,

One evening, just before lockdown, as the rain was relentlessly pouring down and the wind was furiously blowing, I encountered this young woman on the street. You could see the panic in her eyes as she was desperately trying to find a roof for most shelters were full or closed. A few days later, we were all asked to protect ourselves and stay in the comfort of our homes.

I keep thinking of her, hoping she would have found somewhere safe and warm to shelter from this terrible virus and from the cruelty of the life on the streets.

I am very lucky: I am healthy and I don't have to worry about where I'll be sleeping tonight or when I'll be able to feed myself. I also have a lot of spare time, and big stash of fabric and a sewing a machine. The recent government advice, imposing the wear of face masks in public transports as of 15th June, was a lightbulb moment.

If you or your loved ones need a face mask and want to do good for the community, it's your opportunity, here and now. Ask me for your homemade face mask and donate to inHope Bristol.

InHope runs four fantastic projects in Bristol. From shelter and help for women, to meals and life skills support for the vulnerable, they provide a lifeline and hope for those in need.

I hope that, together, we can smash the fundraising goal and help provide even more. If not there's no doubt that every little will help inHope to make a difference.

My time, the material and the delivery of your masks are completely free. And the plan is that all of these masks get to their owners in as green a way as possible (we'd have no homes, without a planet ;)).

Stay safe, Eva x
