Story
My dad was diagnosed with cancer on the 29th of June, 2001. He died on the 2nd of April, 2002. We didn't even have a year. There was really not a lot we could do.
He never got a chance to meet my husband. He never got a chance to be the amazing Grandfather I know he'd have been, to my son, or to my niece.
I miss him so much. He'd be as surprised as anyone that I've taken up running at all, never mind seem to actually enjoy it. I wrote a bit about running here:
https://medium.com/@pixeldiva/why-i-keep-running-53d62e6cf5ceCancer Research is such an important charity, because the work they do means that it might not be too late for hundreds, thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of people.
I'd be very grateful for anything you can give.
£100 can help cover the cost for one woman to take part in a clinical trial aiming to improve survival for post-menopausal women with early stage breast cancer.
£250 can help to train Cancer Research UK nurses to listen and give advice to patients over the phone, giving them vital support.
