Due to the weather this year, this is the worst straw shortage we have ever seen.  During summer, our supplier normally has our barn filled with 250 huge bales of straw, ready for Winter and this year, Winter has arrived and he just can't get his hands on any for us.

We have asked other suppliers and none can promise to sustain us over Winter, with a couple of bales a time, as we can afford it, but we have found one out of the area who can supply us a bulk load, to fill our barn for £6000, he can only guarantee us this for 2 WEEKS, as you can imagine, he has high demand.

Due to the size of our open plan barns, using any other bedding just isn't visible, each barn is 105 foot long, so we really will be horrendously stuck without this straw, its certainly the BIGGEST EMERGENCY  SITUATION  we have had for a long time.
