Story
Thank you for visiting our site. Barnabus is a Manchester Homeless Charity which has been bringing hope and transformation to people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping for over 30 years.
HSO is very proud to have been supporting Barnabus for several years, a local charity close to our Manchester Office. We wish to help celebrate their birthday all the great work they have done over the last 30 years, and most importantly, help them to secure their future for the next 30 years at a time when people need them most.
Barnabus empower and equip people experiencing homelessness back into a home and independent living with the life skills they need to succeed. They do this through their Outreach programme, Support Centre, Healthcare and Supported Resettlement Tenancy Scheme. Barnabus help with accommodation, recovery from addictions, and supporting physical and mental health needs.
On the 25th June 2022, 6 HSO'ers up for a challenge, will overcome all fear of heights to go over the edge of Barton Tower, at the Manchester Trafford Centre, in aid of Barnabus. As we're a generally positive bunch, we'd rather not look at this as over 50 metres straight down, over 15 floors high, dangling on a few pieces of string! Instead, we're trying to convince ourselves that this is just a large pile of bricks, in a beautiful Italianate style, that we can count on the way down whilst squinting out of one eye to admire the view! Please help us support this amazing charity - your kind donations will give us that extra bit of courage we need to go ever the edge in aid of Barnabus!
Thank you from the HSO Team - Chris Manning, Puja Rana, Lisa-Marie Verstraeten, Tracy Tomlinson, Adrian McNay and Jules Wroe. :-)
