Story

THE ONLINE RAFFLE TICKET PROCESS WILL CLOSE ON 23RD JULY 2014 AT 0:00 ETZ, 5 AM GMT. ALL DONATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS TIME WILL BE PLACED IN ANOTHER RAFFLE DRAW TAKING PLACE IN AUGUST, WITH SIGNED PRIZES FROM SCOTT SNYDER, GREG CAPULLO AND DUSTIN NGUYEN. DETAILS TO FOLLOW. RAFFLE TICKETS CAN STILL BE PURCHASED IN STORE AT NOSTALGIA AND COMICS THROUGHOUT BATMAN DAY ON 23RD JULY.

Hello, Bruce Wayne (@BruceWayneBoss) here. You may know me as the billonaire owner of Wayne Enterprises in Gotham City.

Batman Day is July 23rd - an international event being organised by DC Comics to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Batman. Nostalgia and Comics in Birmingham will be hosting a day-long event, including Batman cakes for £1.00, and competitions, all to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

To tie into this - two Batfans, Laura Rose (@BatsDontKill) and Lady Batman (@HowBatmanIAm) are organising a raffle of signed comic books and graphic novels from Batman/Batgirl luminaries such as Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo and Gail Simone.

Raffle tickets cost £1.00 each. To take part, we are asking people to make a minimum donation of £5.00 (5 tickets) via this site. Leave your name, twitter handle and perhaps an email address (if you don't mind) so that @BatsDontKill or @HowBatmanIAm can contact you to send you your e-ticket. There is no minimum ticket number per donor. The more you buy - the more money we raise for a great cause!

PLEASE NOTE: For your raffle prize to be sent to your home address, we will be contacting you to charge you for postage. We want all of our donations to go to the charity. So - DO NOT BUY AN E-TICKET IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE CHARGED FOR POSTAGE IN THE EVENT OF YOUR WINNING!!!!

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
