Story
After 4 years of not running, I am now training for the 2024 London Marathon on Sunday 21 April! As some of you may know, I've had a knee injury which has meant I haven't ran since 2020. But after a few years of referring my place, I'm back into running again!
Due to COVID19, the 40th London Marathon which I was due to race in was postponed from April to October 2020 - this took place virtually. Because of a knee injury, my friend Ben Houghton stepped in with three weeks to go. He ran 26.2 miles in 04:09:05 around London in the rain and raised hundreds of pounds for MS-UK using this page. THANK YOU BEN!

Why am I raising money for MS-UK?
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) was a condition completely unfamiliar to me until 9 years ago when my friend was diagnosed with the condition in our early 20's. She's the most positive person I know! I want to run the London 2020 Marathon to support them, promote awareness of the condition, raise money for MS-UK and challenge myself.
No matter how little or big, I appreciate any donation you can make. And I’d love for you to come and support me and all the other runners on Sunday 26 April 2020. Whether that’s through passing a pack of Haribo at mile 20, or cheering from the sidelines with a beer in hand!
What is MS?
MS is a condition that affects the central nervous system – the brain and spinal cord. There is currently no cure. The symptoms people experience vary greatly from person to person and over time.
MS-UK provides people with all the information and support they need to live life as they wish to with multiple sclerosis; whether that be through drugs, complementary therapies, lifestyle changes, a mixture of these or none at all.
About MS-UK
