To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet human needs, encourage peace, and promote understanding through Lions clubs and activities.
The Service Journey is an approach to living and serving well. To make a real difference that people can see and feel.
A quick outline on some of the community projects we have done.
Highworth & District Lions have supported the elderly on day trips also with Xmas Vouchers. We contributed to the Highworth Visitor Centre,
helped financially the local Highworth Football Teams, Tennis Club, local schools, Local Hospices. assisted young families in need, Battered Wive's Group and food Bank activity in the area.
Contributed to Air Wilts Ambulance plus supplied and maintained a number of Highworth Defribrilators.
Providing and running a community minibus along with local Prostrate Screening and managing a Community Charity Shop.
The above is in addition to financially supporting our Lions Club International Colleagues with Disaster Relief Funding in times of need throughout the world, along with appeals for Sight First, Gift for Living amongst just a few.
