For years I have dreamed about running a marathon, Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting their wishes and providing hospital entertainment to help take their minds off the pain, fear and isolation of their illness - www.starlight.org.uk - I'm hoping that by putting some hard work in myself and making a personal dream come true that I can make some of these childrens dreams come true too.

So here's my dream - starting as a complete novice I plan to train up to marathon fitness and complete the Virgin London Marathon in 2011. I will compete in other events along the way which you can support me in, with the ultimate goal of running in London.
