The story is a simple one.  My big brother Neil is no longer with us - and it didn't have to be that way.

Diabetes was at the root of it all, true, it's "in the family" and I seem to be a lucky one so far, yet AWARENESS is key.

The truth is, for years nobody knew that he had diabetes. By the time it was diagnosed, irreversible damage had been done.

Unfortunately, general international awareness is critically poor.

Diabetes UK is fantastic. Fact. On top of all the other stuff they do, they also run an awareness campaign, which I support fully.

My goal is just to help a little, whenever I can and because I can.
