In April 2025, we will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause. On the 27th June 2022 our whole world was blown to pieces when we were told our baby boy had leukaemia. Since then we have been on a very long journey that has not been easy for anyone, most of all Arthur. I could NOT have done it without the help of my friends, so we are doing this challenge together. We have chosen do something that we find really hard (long distance running) to raise money for a local charity that have provided some amazing moments for Arthur and us as a family since we became connected with them last year. Having special moments as a family when you’re living through such a difficult time is essential for everyone but especially children. This is what the Owen McVeigh foundation strive to provide. Arthur and George are both HUGE Liverpool fans and with the help of the Owen McVeigh charity they have been able to see their hero’s in action, they have been invited to cinema events, Christmas parties and become part of a loving community all thanks to the foundation. They do this for hundreds of families that are fighting just to get through each day, providing things to look forward to and special memories to treasure forever.
