Story
Helen's mum is a trustee for the Ghana Education Project, a charity which supports the development of the remote Nkwanta district of Ghana through the education and training of young people, and works to improve educational opportunities for women in the area.
Their flagship project is the pioneering Kyabobo Girls' School in Nkwanta, where they welcomed the first intake in 2013. There are now 500 girls in the school who are benefiting from a high quality education delivered in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES). The charity has now set up a scholarship fund which supports pupils to progress to university, and therefore make full use of the education they have received at Kyabobo Girls’ School.
£10 per month covers the annual cost of supporting one girl’s place at Kyabobo Girls' School, providing a life-changing opportunity.
