I did not know much about Tourettes until my daughter was diagnosed with Chronic Tic Syndrome. She only takes medication when she needs help controlling the Tics as the side effects are not particularly pleasant. I wanted to do something to help raise awareness of this debilitating disorder, so I came up with this mad idea of wearing a different hat every day for a year as my way of acknowledging that anyone with a long term illness or disorder cannot take a break or have a day off, you have to take each day as it comes.
