As someone who has benefitted from Cancer Research I just wanted to give something back.  I was diagnosed with melanoma 3 years ago, and following 2 operations involving plastic surgery and several sessions of laser treatments things seem to have settled down and I am now just undergoing regular checkups. I don't know how the idea of wearing hats came about, but I knew that whatever I did had to be a challenge. Posting a picture of myself wearing a different hat every day for a whole year was my way of acknowledging that any illness or disability is constant. You cannot take a break or have a day off, you have to take each day as it comes.
