Assalamu Alaikum,

In the last few years 4 people that are most beloved to us returned to Allah, our grandparents, eldest aunt and most recently our younger brother Hassan Alam.

Hassan was loved by all of us dearly, he was a son,a brother, nephew, uncle and a friend. He loved us all unconditionally. He always did his best to help everyone around him.

To honour their memory we would like to build a masjid which will be a source of eternal reward for them. InshaAllah

“Whoever build a mosque for Allah – be it large or small – Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Hadith)

It is an excellent form of Sadaqah Jariyah as the donor can expect to receive rewards as long as people worship there. InShaAllah it will be used and utilised regularly by worshippers. 

With the money raised a simple, solid masjid will be made with a mihrab for the Imam and prayer space for 60 people (36 in the main prayer area and 24 in sheltered open area). Ablution facilities will be included, which means digging a fresh water well, installing a water tank and 5 taps. Two toilets will be built as well as a speaker system and ceiling fans.

“Whomsoever provides a well will be rewarded till the day of Qiyamah whenever any thirsty Jinn, Human or bird drinks from there” (Hadith)

This is a reminder to us all that indeed, every soul shall taste death. Let us remember where our priorities lie and let us be mindful of our actions for we do not know the state in which we will pass, the action/statement that will be our last and whether the shahadah will be upon our tongue.
