The Beachy Head Runners/Support Crew (Dan, Luke, Hannah, Ruben, Talana, Kira) are fundraising for Supertroop. One of our runners, Hannah, has volunteered for Supertroop since 2019.

What is Supertroop?

SuperTroop delivers a week-long residential holiday for children and young people with learning disabilities. At Supertroop, young people are often away from home for the first time as opportunities to meaningfully participate in society are often extremely limited for this population. On the holiday,  our holiday makers get to be independent, spend time with their peers, and their families get a week of respite knowing their child is having so much fun! 

What impact does Supertroop have on families?

"Supertroop has been the most amazing experience for all of us and has had a transformative effect on (our daughter's) life" (Parent of holidaymaker)

Why are we fundraising for Supertroop?

To be able to continue to provide safe and magical holidays and eventually grow the holiday scheme, we are running a whole month of activities in and around September 2023 to help us reach our goal of £10,000. 

These are examples of what we can do with the donations:

* £5 = cake decorating for 1 holidaymaker 

* £10 = some arts and crafts 

* £10 = a sensory toy bag 

* £20 = a round of ice creams

*£20 = cocktails 

*£25 = admin supplies (not exciting, but vital!)

*£25 = personal care supplied

*£40 = messy play

*£95 = five tickets to the zoo

*£250 = sponsor a holiday place for 1 young person to attend in 2024

What are we doing to fundraise?

We are running the Beachy Head Trail Half-Marathon, which includes a total of 500m ascent, on the 22nd of October.

Supertroop means so much for the holidaymakers and their family, and it would therefore mean a lot if you would be able to donate.
