Story

Violent floods in Pakistan have devastated the country, resulting in the declaration of a national emergency. So far, nearly 1,000 people have been killed and almost 600,000 homes have been destroyed. In Sindh, Balochistan, Swat and several other areas across the country, thousands have been displaced and millions more impacted by the floods. The Sindh province alone has endured nearly eight times its average August rainfall, with officials comparing this disaster to 2010 - the worst on record. The floods have left 33 million people - 15% of the country's total population - without access to shelter, food, clothing, and medical aid. The Amir Khan Foundation has launched an emergency appeal to help provide critical support to those suffering across Pakistan. Our team is on the ground providing hygiene kits, food, shelter, and medicine to those left displaced by the flooding crisis.
