Story

You don’t think that it will happen to you, nobody does, but at 54 it did – I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma multiform brain cancer in November 2021 and given a year to live. It has completely changed my life, my plans and those of my family.

Our amazing NHS operated and have given me a full course of treatment including chemotherapy and radiotherapy to ensure I can spend as much time as possible with my loved ones and I am forever grateful to them for that.

I’m now in my fourth cycle of chemo and the side effects themselves are a huge challenge to manage.

I am passionate about making a difference and trying to ensure that no other family goes through what mine has had to endure in the past year and the only way we’ll beat cancer is by undertaking research into treatments and cures. The Brain Tumour Charity is massively underfunded given the number of people that are affected by the disease and I want to do my bit in changing that.

All I ask is that you give what you can afford so I can smash my target and, together, we can make a positive change. Together we can beat cancer. Please don’t think that your donation can’t make a difference, it can.

Thanks, Greg
