Story

We're looking to close out our 2021 fund raising efforts with one final push. Along with my friends Simon and Amanda we're taking on the UK's only Ultra distance triathlon relay in  Wales #UMUK this September 3rd/4th/5th. That's 10km swim around Lake Bala on the Friday + 90 mile bike. 174 more miles on the bike around most of Wales on Saturday, finished off with a double marathon and a beer on the Sunday. All for our really great cause that we've already raised an amazing £2.5k for this year.

Our cause. The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust at Medway Hospital in Kent is a neonatal facility caring for babies who require intensive care. When our second daughter Leah was born on August 12th 2020 at just 23.4 weeks, we were lucky to have been able to even meet her. She fought bravely for her life and although she ultimately lost her fight just two weeks later, she could have received no better care or support from the amazing nurses, midwives and doctors at the unit.

The long and the short of it is, no child deserves a life like Leah's. The more money we can raise gives parents with similar hopes and dreams to our own, the chance to get through incredibly tough times and a chance to bring their baby home. No money will ever be enough so please donate what you can. And think of us chasing cut offs around the beautiful Snowdonia the first weekend in September.
