Story
For over 25 years, Oasis has worked across Thanet and Dover to help people who have experienced Domestic Abuse. The charity works to make people safer, to house people fleeing in our refuges, to help them on the path to recovery, and work with children who witnessed and experienced the abuse.
I've been teaching yoga at Oasis on a regular basis and it has been such a joy visiting the girls at one of their refuges. The feedback has been phenomenal, with some girls saying that practicing yoga has improved their sleep and overall mental health. Each individual is so inspiring and so strong in spite of their unbearable circumstances, some also have very young children (we had a one month old baby on the yoga mat last week).
The charity has supported thousands of people through their services and are doing a fantastic job!
