Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Jewish Care is such an amazing charity and have done so much for my family. Both my grandfathers were looked after during the last years of their life and were given so much support at Vi and John Ruben's House (one of Jewish Care's care homes located in Ilford). My Grandad passed away on the 22nd September 2018, a day after I had landed in Australia and my Zeida passed away more recently on the 8th February 2020. My Zeida had Parkinson's & Parkinson's Dementia which affects your muscles' ability to work as they should. It's a very long term disease and it gradually worsens over time. My Grandad had a bleed in his brain and found it very difficult to move after this had occurred.

Myself and My mum are challenging ourselves to walk a combined 300 miles to raise money for Jewish Care because of all the wonderful things they have done for my family and continue to do for others. Also, to encourage everyone to move and be active whilst you still can. You never know what could happen in your future but you have control over what you do today. BE ACTIVE and GET WALKING!
