We support research into urological cancers to keep fighting cancer and find a cure

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm Gemma Crane, a uro-oncology specialist nurse.  When patients are diagnosed with bladder, prostate, testicular or kidney cancer they are assigned to me and I provide support and information to the patient and their family.

My role is to smooth the cancer pathway and co-ordinate care from diagnosis through to treatment from surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and through to discharge and palliative care.  I work closely and help patients make decisions about the treatment they want.

I've also created an interactive web-based support group for men with testicular cancer.  Research shows that young men [the most vulnerable age group is 16-34], prefer to express their questions and anxieties through the internet.

With your support I am looking to raise money for UCARE which will help cancer sufferers both today and in the future.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: UCARE (OXFORD) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!  Thank you.
