In November 2022 I wasn't on my bike, I was getting ready to perform in a Christmas show. One of the backstage team, a college student called Eve, was only a few minutes into a car journey when she was involved in a serious collision with another vehicle. Both Eve and the driver sustained awful injuries and are still in hospital. I'm delighted to say they are both making incredible progress and we are so thankful for this but they still have a long way to go.

However, this may well not have been the case had it not been for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance teams who arrived on scene so quickly to give life saving care. 

To raise funds for EHAAT, my friend Chris Billington and I, will be taking on "The Great British Escapade", a 500km bikepacking race around the North and South Downs of southeast England. To add extra spice, the distance must be completed in 74 hours to be on the finishers board.
