Story

This year we lost the kindest soul on the planet, my best friend and brother, Andy, to cancer.

The whole team at Web Summit, where both Andy and I worked, are fundraising to help St Luke’s in Rathgar build a cancer research lab, dedicated in the name of Andy.

How I aim to help: Over our years myself and Andy would battle it out on the Xbox, it would be our rivalry, and many fights were had while playing it. But not only that, gaming has also helped me find escape, and place to hide from the world were in right now.

So as my fundraiser, I’m going to lock myself in a room for 24 hours and stream myself playing Xbox, with a number of Andy’s friends joining me online over the course of the night/day.

I know there’s a lot of fundraisers this Christmas, and I’ve already asked for a lot. But even the smallest donation can help build a lab that is so important to Ireland, and would be a perfect tribute to Andy.
