Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello cycling fans.
Back in 2012 I decided to retire from holidays abroad until I’m 35 and dedicate each summer to cycling painfully long distances to raise money for charity. This year is no different but it has been a rough old year!
Many of you may know will probably know that since 2014’s fundraiser I have been blighted with injuries, borderline obesity, had my bike nicked, and ever so slightly more seriously I have had a lot of trouble with my kidneys. Training has been tougher than usual but this September I am going to do something very special.
On Friday 18th September a mere 9 days after a little bit of Kidney treatment I am attempting (attempting being the key word) to cycle to Paris from the home of football, White Hart Lane in 24 hours. There will be a 4 hour ferry journey so essentially its 20 hours, and I have read that some people have done it before, how hard can it be? The truth is very! Its 250 miles in 20 hours.
Just in case you didn’t already know, I love a nap, I’m pretty bad at directions and my current bike has been repaired way too much it will probably be retired after this trip.
I will be doing this for the charity REACH who look after children with upper limb deficiency, a good friend of mine is the uncle to lad affected by upper limb difference.
I’d love some support from you all, I really appreciated it over the last few years. All donations go straight to the charity via just giving, don’t forget to tick the gift aid button and the whole trip is funded by myself.
Merci
