Story

We're really excited to work together again and have lots of fun dancing with you all whilst raising money for Winnie.  Instead of ticket sales, we're asking for a minimum donation of £8 to this page (which will go to Winnie's Wish fund being held by the Tree of Hope charity) to grant entry to the zumbathon.  Please let Suzanna know, by text 07970 626 544 or email suzannaczumba@gmail.com, once you have donated to ensure your name is added to the list of attendees.

Winnie is almost two and lives in Nottingham.  She has had leukaemia since she was 11 months old and her parents are raising funds, in the hope of her being able to have CAR-T therapy abroad.  CAR-T is a new and groundbreaking treatment that's currently being developed.   It is available in the UK, but not for Winnie's type of leukaemia because it's a rare type (there are over 100 different types of blood cancer).

The zumbathon will take place at 6pm on Sunday 26th June at Bingham Rugby Club, NG13 8TN.  This is an outdoor event and we have our fingers crossed for good weather.  If weather conditions mean the event needs to be rescheduled, it will take place at 6pm on Sunday 17th July 2022 instead.  We are very grateful for your donations and we are sorry if you donate and are unable to attend the event.

Winnie has already had a stem cell transplant and her blood cancer has returned.  If the funds cannot be used for her medical care then the Tree of Hope charity will use them for another child who needs them.

Thank you so much for your support and we can't wait to dance with you all.  Leila, Rob and Suzanna xxx
