Ramadan Appeal
Campaign by The Demo Charity (RCN 12345678)
This Ramadan we want to raise £100,000 to support Syrian refugees who have been displaced by war

Story

I decided to start a fundraising page for a Ramadan Appeal for Syria immediately after coming across a video online. In this video there were bombs being thrown into the villages from helicopters above. There were children being dug out from rubble, barely conscious and even dead. They needed urgent medical attention. There were children that could barely move due to having no bread or water for days. The interviewer asked the boy in the profile picture of this page what he is eating and he replied "We are eating grass."

We have food on our table when closing our fast and when opening our fast. We have medical attention when we need it. We have shelter, heating, hot and cold water, clean water and beds to sleep in. We don't have bombs being thrown into our cities and towns. A lot of us take all of this for granted. If there is a time to help, now would be that time, in the month of Ramadan.
