Story
Shaukat kahnum cancer hospital
Once a patient is diagnosed with cancer, a life threatening disease, terrifying and daunting challenges lie ahead. However imagine if a person is diagnosed with cancer and is refused treatment because he is unable to bear the costs! Yes it is true, there are thousands of poor cancer patients in developing countries who are refused treatment for financial reasons. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital was established with the purpose of providing cancer treatment to those who are unable to afford it.
Last year, donors helped save 11,600 lives with many more being treated, which meant not only did they gave hope of life to the cancer victims but also to their children, parents and families. People bring their loved one with cancer to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital with a big hope and it is you who decide how many patients are treated because every year around 150,000 new patients are diagnosed with cancer in Pakistan and 11,600 is only a fraction of the total number. Every penny helps. This is the reason why I want to take up this charity and do something for the humanity’s.
