Story
Here we go again . . . . . . .
Six years after slogging 100 kilometres through torrential Yorkshire Dales rain and mud for 22 hours in the Oxfam Trailtrekker, our team of four (Zog, Nigel, Dave & Paul) are back to take on the 100 kilometres South Downs TRAILWALKER in support of both Oxfam Great Britain and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
Our training is well underway - we've been romping around Richmond Park (25km), Windsor Great Park (30km) and the Chilterns (30km and 35km) on Sundays over the last couple of months.
But the charity event demands 100km of walking all day and throughout the night. We're aiming for a 24-hour finish.
The pain will be worth it. All the money raised goes to help tackle dire poverty worldwide (Oxfam), and 2) Gurkha veterans, their widows, and their wider communities can live with dignity in their home country of Nepal.
I really appreciate ANY support you can give. This is a tough physical and mental challenge. Your support will help spur us along, especially when the going gets tough!
THANK YOU.
